Deitz Hails Windies Women Bounce-back Ability Following SA Win

Coach of the West Indies women, Shane Deitz, is encouraged by the Caribbean side’s ability to bounce back from their disappointing tour of England to beat South Africa in the 1st T20 International on Wednesday.

Captain Hayley Matthews, who missed the last two matches on their tour of England, returned to score 40. Fellow opener Qiana Joseph scored 80 to guide the Windies to 180 for 6 and a four-wicket win via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Game two is set for Saturday and Dietz hope they’ll be able to close out the series then.
