Dancehall artiste Rena has released a new single entitled “Yardie Girls No Love/Kingston City,” which has sparked much debate. The singjay creatively gave her assessment of the mindset of women from different parishes. The single has earned her the respect and admiration of several musical pundits who have been very impressed by her creativity. The single which was produced by USA based record label SO-CT Society is already making the rounds on social media and was even featured by Onstage Tv. According to the singjay, she is not here to take up space, she says she entered the dancehall space by a dominant force.

“Dancehall have a gap in it when it comes to female artist and a da space Deh mi a come fa.A straight pressure, sexiness and openness, day me represent, a dat me bring, YU affi remember say me open minded enuh, mi a be my true self” Stated Rena.

The St.Thomas-Native says she has been recording non-stop for months because she has her sight set on becoming a household name in 2026.

“My plan for this year is to elevate my career through consistent releases, strong visuals, and strategic collaborations. I’m focused on growing my audience and stepping into more performance and business opportunities as an artiste, “ stated Rena.

When asked about why she decided to tackle such a controversial topic, she outlined that what she expressed was social commentary.

“Me sing about what I see happening in society and even if some people nuh like wheh me a seh dem know a di truth me a talk which is why they can relate to my music” stated Rena.

Currently, Rena is busy in studio recording new music as well as promoting her “Yardie Girls No Love/Kingston City” single. She is also in the process of filming the visuals for her Kingston City single.
