Captain of Jamaica’s National Women’s cricket team, Rashada Williams, says she’s hurt that the team was dethroned as regional Super 50 champion in St. Kitts and Nevis on Monday.

The Jamaicans lost by one wicket to the Leeward Islands at Warner Park.

Jamaica are fourth in the standings on 16 points and will face the Windward Islands, who are also on 16 points, in their final preliminary game on Wednesday.

At the end of Wednesday’s games the top two teams will meet in the final, third and fourth will meet on the same day in a playoff for third place and the bottom two face off for fifth spot.

Trinidad and Tobago leads the standings ahead of Guyana, and Barbados. Those three are expected to battle for the top two spots.

Williams says Jamaica would have been on track for the final had they gotten more out of the game against the Leewards.
