The Diego Martin Borough Corporation has expressed condolences to the family of Lorenzo Lawrence Husbands, whose decomposing body was found on its Ken Valley Drive, Westvale compound on Sunday, along with an envelope containing four hundred dollars. The Corporation confirmed it is cooperating fully with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service as investigations continue.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., WSO 2246 Maria La Foucade of Amalgamated Security Services, assigned to the premises, reported that a passerby alerted her to a foul odour coming from the rear of the compound. Upon investigating, she discovered the body in a back drain behind one of the Corporation’s buildings.
The Diego Martin Municipal Police were immediately notified. Inspector Smith-Douglas and Woman Acting Inspector Mark responded to the scene, accompanied by officers from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, including Inspector Perry and PC 21406 Jack.
Crime Scene Investigators attended to process the area, and District Medical Officer Dr Leung conducted a preliminary examination of the remains, which were found to be in an advanced state of decomposition.
The scene was cordoned off to allow forensic and investigative teams to conduct a thorough examination. Once documentation and assessments were completed, the body was removed under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
