In a media release on January 6, the TT Police Service (TTPS) said during a targeted anti-crime exercise in the Western Division, police went to a track off Salandy Street, Diego Martin.

The officers walked uphill for almost a mile and eventually found a clearing with approximately 200 marijuana plants which they uprooted and burned.
Units involved in the exercise included the Western Division Gang Intelligence Unit (WDGIU), West End Criminal Investigations Department and the West End Charge Room.

The operation was sanctioned by Snr Supt Williams, spearheaded by Supt Gyan and W/Asst Superintendent Aguellera.
It was co-ordinated by Insps Grant and Perry, and supervised by Cpls Garcia, Khan and acting Cpl Joseph.
