Veteran disc jockey Kevin Hylton known as Kevin Hyll has officially ventured into the recording artiste world with the release of his cover version to country music hit single “I Believe in You’ originally recorded by Don Williams.

The original single was nominated for country music song of the year in 1977 and talks about love and its heightened position over material things. A firm believer in love himself, this construct is what originally appealed to Hyll when looking at producing a reggae cover.

“We are so short of love in this world, not only between couples but between families, races, countries and human beings in general. So I saw this as a prime song to give new life to in reggae form; good music never dies and the world need more love pouring out of the music,” Hyll explained.

Originally Hyll recorded the reggae cover of I Believe In You as a demo for another artiste, his team at Digital One Music however heard the track and encouraged him to release it as his own single. The disc jockey turned recording artiste expects that the future is bright for his career; he wants persons to love music just as much as he does and to feel the music the way it should be felt.

“I’ve always loved music and singing but had always stuck to playing the music as a Selecta and actually will still play music for people to enjoy, I love playing unexpected music and songs that people haven’t heard in a long time, as an artiste expect that same direction and commitment, there is much more coming,” Hyll added.

Already I Believe In You has received clean crisp and colorful visuals on Hyll’s YouTube platform and he is gearing up to release a second single, an original track on the Flying Roach riddim produced by Digital One Productions.
