Domino’s delivery driver dies in crash

A motorcycle delivery driver with Domino’s Pizza was killed on Sunday night after he was accidentally run over.

Police reported that around 7:15 p.m. Aaron Lewis was heading south along the Southern Main Road, near Mode Alive, when the accident occurred. Police said eyewitnesses told them Lewis attempted to avoid a puddle, lost control of his motorcycle and was run over by a red Hyundai Elantra travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Elantra told police he never saw Lewis but felt a thud against the right side of his vehicle. He then felt as though something was dragging beneath the vehicle before it came to a stop. When he checked, he saw Lewis and his motorcycle on the roadway.

Police reported that Lewis lost consciousness about ten minutes after the collision. He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he died while receiving treatment around 8 p.m. Police said he suffered severe head injuries.
