The People’s National Party, PNP, has formally launched the campaign for its standard-bearer in South East St. Ann, Dr. Kenneth Russell.

South East St. Ann consists of the divisions Claremont, Calderwood, Bensonton and Moneague.

It’s known to be a PNP stronghold, with the party securing victory in the constituency over the past 30 years. Dr. Russell is selected to replace current member of parliament, Lisa Hanna.

PNP general secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell, addressed the campaign launch on Wednesday in Claremont on Wednesday.

Dr. Campbell also threw barbs at agriculture minister, Floyd Green. He says the next PNP administration will make irrigation a priority for the people of South East St. Ann.
