Reports of a prison clash between Sean “Diddy” Combs and Christopher “Dudus” Coke have met firm denials from Coke’s family and US prison officials, with Nationwide News also amending its earlier coverage.
Angela Jackson, Coke’s aunt, popularly known as Angela Strikers, dismissed claims that her nephew injured the music mogul during an alleged confrontation at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey.
In an Instagram response, Jackson described the report as “completely false and nothing more than fake news”. She said Coke had never met Combs and that the two were housed in separate sections of the facility.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also explicitly rejected the alleged altercation in a statement quoted by the Daily Mail.
“While, for privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, we can tell you that the story you are referring to is false and did not happen,” a spokesman said.
The spokesman confirmed that Combs remained in federal custody at Fort Dix but provided no further information.
Nationwide News said its own sources disputed the alleged confrontation, prompting the outlet to amend its earlier reporting.
The denials followed circulating claims that Combs had suffered a head injury in a prison fight and required treatment at an outside medical facility. Those claims were attributed to TMZ in the reports, but the alleged fight and resulting hospitalisation remain unsubstantiated in the information available.
Speculation also linked the purported confrontation to a reported change in Coke’s projected release date, from January 29, 2028, to January 28, 2029. However, no evidence presented establishes a connection between that reported change and any altercation.
Combs was sentenced last year to just over four years in federal prison following convictions on prostitution-related charges involving two former girlfriends.
