Duhaney Park Red Sharks Retains Women’s Rugby League Title

Duhaney Park Red Sharks retained the Rugby League Jamaica Women National Club Championship with a comfortable 24-6 win over Washington Boulevard Bulls at Mona Bowl.

In total, four teams participated in the 13-a-side competition, the other two being St Bess Sledgehammers and the Jamaica Defence Force.

All teams faced each other in round robin action and then the top two clashed in the championship game.

Sherine Johnson was the standout player in the finals, bagging 12 points courtesy of three tries for the winners.

Her teammate Shanique Smith was also exceptional, with her four goals and a try also equalling 12 points.
