East Central St Andrew: PNP Caretaker Vows to Train Youth; JLP Wants Transformation

People’s National Party, PNP, caretaker for East Central St. Andrew, Dennis Gordon, says he’ll prioritise the training of young people if he wins the right to represent the constituency after the next general election.

Gordon, who currently serves as councillor for the Maxfield Park division, was speaking during a PNP meeting at Norman Manley High School on Sunday night.

He’s looking to replace Dr. Peter Phillips, who has held the seat for the PNP since 1993. He told comrades that housing and land titling will also get priority attention.

Meanwhile, Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, caretaker for the constituency, Davion Vassell, says the constituency needs transformational leadership.

Speaking at Tarrant High on Sunday night, he says constituents in Cassia Park and Hagley Park can expect active and participatory leadership.
