Superadio-syndicated “Ebro In The Morning” has come to an end at MediaCo Hip Hop outlet “Hot 97” WQHT New York.

The morning show, featuring Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez, acknowledged the change via social media. Darden tweeted, “It’s done. More to come. #EbroInTheMorning.” Rosenberg followed with, “I lived out a childhood dream and it was amazing. Very excited for what’s next #ebrointhemorning #reallate.” In an Instagram video, Rosenberg added that change had been coming, saying, “Change can be beautiful… Stay tuned.” All references to the program have since been removed from Hot97.com.

“Ebro In The Morning” was established in 2012, when then-Programming Director Ebro Darden rejoined Hot 97’s morning show. Darden previously worked mornings at the station from 2004 to 2007 alongside several past co-hosts before returning to the daypart in 2012. During its run, the show became a prominent and often polarizing voice in hip-hop radio. Darden generated controversy on multiple occasions for on-air remarks, including a public dispute with rapper 6ix9ine and comments criticizing the Jersey City Public School District, both of which drew significant attention beyond radio.

Beyond New York, the show expanded nationally. In September 2020, “Ebro In The Morning with Laura Stylez and Rosenberg” entered national syndication via Superadio Networks. Two months later, on November 16, 2020, Alpha Media added the program to its syndicated “WE”-branded stations, making it available in markets including Amarillo, Portland, and San Antonio. The show also aired on several “Loud”-branded stations across Pennsylvania, including outlets in the Lehigh Valley, Reading, and State College such as WHOL/WEST, WRLD, and WRSC-FM-HD3.

Outside of Hot 97, Darden continues as a host on Apple Music Radio. Rosenberg has been with WQHT since 2007, while also co-hosting afternoons on “ESPN New York” 880 WHSQ and serving as a host and announcer for WWE. Laura Stylez joined the morning show in 2013 after working as a digital producer for Hot 97 and also hosts programming on SiriusXM, with prior stops at 105.9 WCAA and “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM.
