The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MOECST), working alongside the Global Partnership for Education and UNICEF, recently hosted a two-day Belize Partnership Compact Development Workshop. The session brought together members of the Local Education Group, which includes education partners and stakeholders involved in supporting the sector. The workshop focused on developing Belize’s Education Compact, a shared roadmap intended to guide future investments, policy priorities and coordinated action within the education system. The aim is to ensure that resources and programmes are directed toward areas that can strengthen learning outcomes for students nationwide. The ministry says the process is also centred on advancing quality, inclusive and equitable education, ensuring that all learners have greater access to opportunities regardless of their background or location.
