The Holness administration will negotiate a manifestly better electricity deal with the Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, than previous People’s National Party administrations.
That’s the word from energy minister, Daryl Vaz.
The JPS’s 2001 license is due to expire this year. The government will start negotiations for a new license on July 8.
During his contribution to the Sectoral Debate on Tuesday, Minister Vaz, described the existing license as terrible.
