Engineer dies after being crushed by truck at Montego Bay Bypass worksite

Grief has reportedly gripped workers on the Montego Bay Bypass project following the death of an engineer who was crushed by a truck at the construction site on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Clifton James, an engineer attached to Stanley Consultants.

Reports are that James was carrying out measurements at an area of the worksite near Granville, St James, at approximately 10:00 a.m. when he was struck by a truck that was reversing in the area.

James sustained fatal injuries in the incident.

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are currently at the scene as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
