England completed a white-ball rout of West Indies at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Tuesday, after carving out a 37 run win over the two time world champions in the final game of their three match T20 series.
The win gave them back to back 3-nil series successes, coming closely on the heels of a similar outcome in the One Day International series.
England posted 248 for 3 having been put in to bat by West Indies.
Ben Duckett’s 84 and Jaimie Smith 60 laid the foundation for the mammoth total, 120 of which came in the first nine overs.
With the help of a few cameos, England managed to posted their second highest T20 total and their highest at home.
West Indies were unconvincing in their pursuit of a record chase, eventually restricted to 211 for 8.
Former captain Rovman Powell led the way with an unbeaten 79, Shai Hope got 45, Shimron Hetmeyer 25 and Jason Holder 26 against Luke Wood 3 for 31 and Adil Rashid 2 for 30.
Hope says the needed to be more consistent.
He says they are hoping for a more positive result in the series against Ireland.
