CEO and Managing Director of First in Line Entertainment Limited, Mark Tracey, wants to see more initiatives in political manifestos that smaller entertainment businesses can benefit from.

He was reacting to the promises outlined in the JLP and PNP’s manifestos geared towards growth in the entertainment sector on Nationwide at Five on Thursday.

Both the JLP and PNP have included proposals for the entertainment and creative industries in their election manifestos.

Among the JLP’s plans is to expand the Special Economic Zone framework to encompass music, film, fashion and art production.

The PNP, meanwhile, has proposed to establish a one billion dollar Creative Economy Fund to support business development, content creation, training, and community-based arts.

Tracey says funding is also a key matter both parties must address.
