ETH to Open 2024 Season at Prefontaine Classic

Double Olympic champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah, is among seven Jamaicans listed to compete at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, the fifth stop on the Diamond League circuit.

Thompson-Herah is set to open her season in the women’s 100 metres where she’ll go head-to-head with reigning World champion Sha’Carri Richardson on the American’s home turf.

Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith of the Ivory Coast and Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred are also set to feature.

Other Jamaicans down to compete are Shanieka Ricketts and Kimberly Williams in the women’s triple jump.

World champion Danielle Williams in the women’s 100-metres hurdles, Olympic champion Hansle Parchment will run in the 110-metres hurdles, Adelle Tracey will face the starter in the women’s 1500-metres and Natoya Goule-Toppin will run in the women’s 800-metres.
