UDP Senator Patrick Faber has applauded Lord Michael Ashcroft for supporting the refurbishment of the computer lab at Anglican Cathedral College (ACC) through a ninety-five-thousand-dollar contribution. In a Facebook post following the opening, Faber thanked Ashcroft, Phil Osborne and the Waterloo Group Charitable Trust for providing the funding that made the project possible. Faber described the initiative as deeply personal, explaining that he began teaching at ACC in 1998, four years after the lab first opened. He said his involvement in the planning and repairs was driven by the belief that students deserve the tools and opportunities to develop their talents. The refurbished facility includes four computers equipped with software to support remedial literacy and numeracy. A plaque at the facility identifies the original lab as a May 1994 donation from the Michael A. Ashcroft Foundation. It also recognises the refurbishment thirty-two years later through support from Lord Ashcroft and the Waterloo Group Charitable Trust.
