Fatal Crash in Franks Eddy Claims Life of Elgar Estrada, Alcohol Suspected

There were two fatal traffic incidents over the weekend.  The first occurred out west where one Elgar Estrada lost his life.  The incident occurred in Franks Eddy Village, Cayo District.  Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero indicated that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch: “On Sunday the first day of March police responded to a fatal road traffic accident at Franks Eddy Village. Upon their arrival they saw the lifeless body of a male person identified as Elgart Estrada. Information is that Estrada was in the area when he was hit by a vehicle driven at the time by Andrea Reyes. Andrea Reyes was taken into custody pending charges.”

Reporter: Any involvement of alcohol ? 

ACP Hilberto Romero, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch: “We suspect that she was under the influence of alcohol so a sample was taken and it will be forwarded to the forensic laboratory.”

Reporter: Do you know how old the victim was ?
