Fi We Boledo App Pulled From Google Play, New Web Portal Launched

In related news, the Belize Government Lotteries Limited (BGLL) has announced that the Fi We Boledo App is no longer available for download on the Google Play Store due to policy restrictions on gambling applications.  According to BGLL, Google initially approved the app but later determined that its feature allowing users to purchase lottery tickets with real money violates Play Store distribution policies in certain countries, including Belize. Existing users who already downloaded the app can continue to use it to buy Boledo, Jackpot, and Ordinary Lottery tickets, though no future updates will be available.  In response, BGLL has launched a new web portal, fiweboledo.bz, offering the same convenient and secure features as the app. The online platform allows customers to purchase lottery tickets from any desktop or mobile device, ensuring continued access to their favorite games.  The company assured users that all existing customer information remains safe and accessible through the portal, and current login credentials will still work.  BGLL also clarified that Apple App Store users are not affected, as iOS continues to permit licensed gambling apps in Belize. iPhone users can therefore choose to play either through the app or the new web portal.  The move underscores BGLL’s commitment to innovation and accessibility, ensuring that Belizeans can continue to enjoy their favorite lottery games seamlessly and securely.
