Jamaica’s Combat Sambo fighter, Matthew Colquhoun, will create history when he competes in the World Games in China next month.
Colquhoun secured a place at the tournament by virtue of ninth place world ranking.
He described his bronze medal performance at the recent Pan American Sambo Games as a learning experience.
Colquhoun along with Damar Haslam were the fighter to represent Jamaica at that tournament.
Colquhoun was forced to fight in a higher category after suffering a heat exhaustion and order by his doctor not to try and drop weight for the tournament.
