Final farewell set for Sly Dunbar

Family, friends and fans are preparing to bid their final farewell to legendary drummer and producer Sly Dunbar.

On Friday, a motorcade was held in his honour followed by a public viewing at the National Indoor Sports Centre between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kingston beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Sly Dunbar, OD, widely regarded as one of the most influential drummers and producers in reggae music, passed away on January 26 at the age of 73.
