Finance Belize Promotes Investment at London Financial Services Seminar

Finance Belize, in collaboration with the Belize High Commission in London, hosted the London Financial Services Seminar, bringing together representatives from the United Kingdom’s financial services industry, business organizations, prospective investors, members of the Belizean diaspora and strategic partners.  The seminar formed part of Finance Belize’s broader strategy to expand the country’s international presence, promote its evolving financial services sector and encourage greater investment, cross-border trade and institutional collaboration between Belize and the United Kingdom.  Belize’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Her Excellency Cherie Nisbet, welcomed participants and underscored the importance of strengthening commercial and institutional ties between the two countries. Chairman of Finance Belize, Reynaldo Magaña, also addressed the gathering, outlining the organization’s efforts to position Belize as a modern, competitive and globally connected international financial services jurisdiction.  Participants received an overview of Belize’s financial services industry and the country’s investment opportunities across several sectors, including wealth management, securities and capital markets, international banking, company formation, maritime registry services, corporate financial services, insurance, financial technology and digital assets.  With London serving as one of the world’s premier international financial centres, organizers say the seminar provided an important platform to engage investors, financial institutions and professional service providers interested in expanding business opportunities in Belize and the wider region.  The event also sought to strengthen bilateral relationships within the financial services sector, facilitate dialogue on regulatory developments and emerging market trends, while fostering new strategic partnerships between Belizean and British institutions.
