Fire Destroys Two-Story Home in Belize City’s Port Loyola Area

What began as an ordinary Friday night quickly turned into tragedy for a family in the Port Loyola area on T Street in Belize City.  A fire ignited and destroyed a two-story wooden structure. Firefighters responded to the blaze and battled the flames before bringing the situation under control. Police, along with the National Fire Service, have launched an ongoing investigation to determine what sparked the fire. We received information about the fire from one of the sisters who lived in the upper level of the house. 

As investigators work to establish the exact cause of the fire, authorities say they will continue examining the scene before determining whether any foul play was involved or if the blaze was accidental.
