Fire One Fireworks will close all its outlets on Independence Day, aligning with the Government’s declaration of a National Day of Prayer and Reflection in place of the traditional parade and fireworks display.
In a statement, the company said the decision was made “out of respect for the observance and in solidarity with the people during the State of Emergency.”
Fire One also says it supports the Government’s move to restrict Independence Day celebrations to silent fireworks for private use, a measure aimed at reducing noise disturbance for the elderly, pets, and vulnerable individuals.
The company said silent fireworks are part of its product line and meet international safety standards.
It also reminded customers to buy only from licensed dealers and to discharge fireworks responsibly at designated times.
“Even in difficult times, celebrations can be carried out with dignity, respect, and unity,” the statement said.
