Fisherman Shot Dead at Old Belize in Gang-Related Attack

Last night, 26-year-old Gaston Barrow, a local fisherman, and one “Hands Cart” were shot at while at Old Belize. At around 6:05. the Police Control Room received information of a shooting at Old Belize. They were both transported to the Karl Husener Memorial Hospital (K.H.M.H) for medical attention. Barrow was pronounced dead. It is noted that this incident is gang-related, as police are currently seeking 1 person regarding this murder investigation.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “On the 28th Day of September 2025 police responded to a shooting at Old Belize. Upon their arrival they learned that two persons had been shot. They were identified as Gaston Barrow and Hanks Card. They were rushed to the KHMH for treatment where Gaston Barrow succumbed to his injuries. Information is that both were in a car at Old Belize when they were approached by a male person who fired several shots toward their direction causing their injuries. We are seeking one suspect in regards to this murder investigation.”
