Fitz Henley Slams KSAMC, PNP Secretariat

Government Senator, Abka Fitz-Henley, has slammed as corrupt, a leaked voice note of PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell suggesting that the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC, disbursed cash strategically to assist PNP caretakers.

This in anticipation that two by-elections were to be called soon.

Fitz-Henley made the comment during his contribution to the State of the Nation Debate in the Upper House today.

During the debate, Senator Fitz-Henley called for Dr. Campbell to step down as a Commissioner of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica, ECJ.

Chevon Campbell reports.

Senator Fitz-Henley told the State of the Nation Debate that the recent developments at the KSMAC were of major concern.

He’s reacting to audio in which Dr. Campbell may be heard responding to an enquiry from then PNP Caretaker for Central Kingston Lawrence Rowe about why he only received $300,000 in December last year from the KSAMC.

This when other PNP caretakers received $500,000, is cause for major concern.

Senator Fitz-Henley says the Lawrence Rowe-Dayton Campbell saga is evidence of organized criminality within the PNP Secretariat and the Andrew Swaby-led KSAMC.

Fitz-Henley says Dr. Campbell should call time on his tenure as a Commissioner of the ECJ.
