Flow Trinidad has rolled out a workforce development initiative that will provide 100 of its frontline technicians with advanced training, career progression opportunities, and industry-recognised certification, the company said in a media release.

The Technician Pathways Development Programme, launched this week at the company’s Head Office in Trincity, is aimed at strengthening technical expertise while improving customer service in the rapidly evolving telecommunications sector.

Through the initiative, technicians will gain access to a structured career development framework that combines formal e-learning modules, hands-on workshops, customer service training, mentorship and career coaching. Participants will also benefit from certification through Flow’s partnership with the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). Performance-based incentives will reward individual progress and achievement.

Reneasha Simmons-Phillips, Senior Manager, People at Flow Trinidad, said the programme represents a long-term investment in the company’s workforce.

“Our frontline technicians fuel the foundation of our business. The Technician Pathways Development Programme is about empowering and investing in our people—providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to deliver world-class service in an increasingly digital world,” she said.

Flow executives emphasised that the initiative is not only about technical skills but also about “future-proofing” the workforce through continuous learning and professional development.

The programme forms part of Flow Trinidad’s broader strategy to drive service excellence, innovation, and talent development in the local telecommunications industry.
