Vice-president of Netball Jamaica, Simone Forbes is excited by the government’s pledge to refurbish the Sunshine Chalet which houses the national netball teams.
Minister of Sports, Olivia Grange, made the announcement following the Sunshine Girls’ recent 2-1 series win over the England Roses.
The facility was built to house players of various national programmes during training camps, seminars and meetings.
However, the facility has fallen into disrepair over the years.
Forbes says they look forward to the start of the work.
She says the property helps the association to save millions in accommodation.
