Jamaica’s former world boxing champion Mike McCallum has died.
He was 68-years-old.
Preliminary reports are after leaving the gym on Saturday McCallum fell ill.
The former world champion pulled his car into a shopping mall where police reportedly found him unresponsive.
McCallum won world titles in three different weight classes.
McCallum won the WBA Junior Middleweight crown in 1984 with a unanimous victory over Irishman Sean Mannion, becoming the first Jamaican to win a world boxing title.
He went to add the WBA Middleweight and WBC Light Heavyweight titles to his collection.
McCallum was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of fame in 2003.
