Former Diplomat Candice Pitts Named New Belize City Administrator

Candice Pitts, Belize’s former Ambassador to the Republic of China (Taiwan) and non-resident Ambassador to Japan is the new City Administrator. Her appointment takes effect on November 1, 2025. 

Pitts holds a Ph.D. in English from Howard University and has pursued advanced studies in diplomacy and international relations, blending scholarship with practical expertise. 

She succeeds Albert Vaughn, who has served as city administrator since April 2024, a month after the passing of the late Stephanie Lindo-Garbutt.
