News has been received of the death of Dean Williams, a former United Democratic Party candidate for the Cayo North constituency. Leader of the Opposition, Tracy Panton remembers Williams as a true servant of his people and the party.
Tracy Panton, Leader of the Opposition: “He hailed from the Cayo North constituency and he was always ready to answer to the call to service in whatever capacity the party asked him to serve. He was once a candidate for us, never a standard bearer but a candidate for us and his commitment to the United Democratic Party was unwavering until the time of his death. And so for us this is a huge loss. He was a warrior, a general, and a statesman. He always put the party first. Wanted to see a united party that would hold this government to account and I hope that we will be able to achieve that in honor of his legacy and his service to the UDP.”
Williams who was also one of the sons of the late Norah Parham will be laid to rest next week.
