Fort George Hotel Unveils Major 66-Room Expansion in Belize City

The Fort George Hotel and Spa has announced the opening of its new Signature Sea View Tower in Belize City later this fall.  The six-storey expansion will add 66 guestrooms and suites, nearly doubling the hotel’s capacity from 64 to 130 rooms. It will also include two penthouses, a waterfront swimming pool, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, a lobby bar, retail space and approximately 4,500 square feet of additional meeting and event facilities.  The hotel says the expansion represents a major investment in Belize City’s tourism and hospitality sector while incorporating elements of Belizean culture and the property’s historic waterfront setting.  Reservations are being accepted for stays beginning in fall 2026. The hotel is also preparing to transition to the Fort George, Belize, Autograph Collection later this year.
