Four Detained After Gun and Ammunition Found at Cayo Checkpoint

In the Cayo District, four men were detained after police reportedly found a Glock 17 pistol, an extended magazine and 22 live rounds near a vehicle at a checkpoint in Blackman Eddy on Sunday night.  Officers say they saw an object being thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle as it was being stopped. Nothing illegal was found inside, but the firearm and ammunition were discovered during a search of the immediate area. The four occupants remain detained pending possible charges, and their names are being withheld.
