A four-vehicle collision on the George Price Highway this morning caused a major traffic backup, forcing authorities to divert vehicles to the Boom-Hattieville Road. The pile-up, which occurred between miles 11 and 12 shortly after eight o’clock this morning, involved a cargo truck, a pickup truck, a sedan, and an SUV. While the cause of the accident remains unclear, no injuries have been reported. Police and transport officials were on the scene working to clear the obstruction. Just after nine o’clock this morning, police issued a statement advising that traffic was being rerouted to allow for the cleanup and investigation. A further update from authorities is yet to be issued.
