Fraser McConnell has been making waves in the world of rallycross, demonstrating that Jamaican athletes can excel beyond the traditional sports the island is known for. Hailing from Bog Walk, St. Catherine, McConnell has steadily built an impressive career, shattering records and inspiring a new generation of racers. With an exciting season ahead, he remains a driver to watch in 2025.

From Bog Walk to the Global Stage
Growing up on the Tru-Juice citrus orchard, McConnell’s passion for motorsports was ignited by Rally Jamaica, an annual event that saw rally cars from across the Caribbean speeding past his home every December. The fierce competition between local rally legends Jeffery Panton and Gary Gregg left a lasting impression on him, inspiring him to chase his own racing dreams.
His journey to international success began in 2018 when he became the first Jamaican to compete in an international rallycross event at the ARX2 Championship in Texas. A year later, he claimed the ARX2 title, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the motorsport world.
