From Dadda to Bellwetha, A Child Star’s Journey To Greatness

At the tender age of 9 years old, when his peers were preoccupied with playing football and marbles, this extraordinary youngster was busy recording music professionally and performing alongside some of dancehall’s most legendary artistes. The protoje of Bounty Killer, Dadda, spent his adolescent and teenage years performing locally and internationally before taking a break from music to spend some time reflecting and spending time with his family. Fast forward to 2025, he has resurfaced with a new name, new image and a plethora of new music.

“Bellwetha a di brand and I am here to dominate with great music and flair. I have been recording non-stop for months and I have been releasing singles, which has been very well received locally and internationally. My goal is simple, work and win” Stated Bellwetha.

When quized about the reason for the name change, the St. Catherine native explained that he is now a grown man and his brand and life are at a different level as such a name upgrade was most appropriate.

“When yuh a child yuh do things a certain way and when yuh a big man do tings a different way, suh the name change is just a reflection of my personal and career growth. Bellwetha name a ring in the streets right now suh obviously it a work” Stated Bellwetha.

Born Amir Fyffe, Bellwetha who was known for his catch phrase “Dadda Ain’t No odda” which he used to say before singing on stage shows such as Reggae Sumfest, Follow Di Arrow, Fully Loaded and many more as a child. At present, Dadda is singing a different kind of tune with a new name, “Bellwetha” and has released buzzing songs such as Economy, Powerful and Richa Who.
