Garvey Maceo, Cornwall lift rural U14, U16 football titles

Garvey Maceo High and Cornwall College captured the 2026 ISSA/Burger King Rural Under-14 and Under-16 titles respectively on Thursday at St Elizabeth Technical High School. Garvey Maceo defeated William Knibb Memorial 4-2 while Cornwall whipped Glenmuir High 4-1. The Under-14 final delivered plenty of excitement in the 70-minute game as Garvey Maceo struck first through Kerick Clarke in the sixth minute. William Knibb responded in dramatic fashion when Junior Gray found the equaliser in added time before completing his brace in the 50th minute to put his team ahead.
