Genesis Invitational to Find New Venue Following LA Wildfires

The Genesis Invitational will be held at a different location next month because of the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, the PGA Tour has announced.

The tournament, which is organised by the Tiger Woods Foundation and takes place February 13-16, was scheduled to be played at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades, California.

However, the area has suffered the most destructive fire in LA history, burning more than 23,000 acres and devastating the community.

Organisers have yet to confirm a new venue but said they would provide further updates in the coming days.

The Genesis Invitational is one of eight PGA Tour signature events in 2025 and has a US $20 million prize purse.

In a statement announcing the relocation, the PGA Tour said its “focus continues to be on the safety and wellbeing of those affected by the unprecedented natural disaster in Greater Los Angeles”.

Riviera Country Club is the long-time home of the Genesis Invitational – formerly known as the Los Angeles Open – and is also set to host the men’s and women’s tournaments at the LA Olympics in 2028.
