Jamaican dancehall star Sean Paul has secured another milestone in his career, as his hit single (When You Gonna) Give It Up to Me, featuring Keyshia Cole, has been certified gold in the United Kingdom.

The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry, recognising combined sales and streaming figures exceeding 400,000 units.

Originally released in 2006, the track has experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent months, driven largely by a viral dance trend on TikTok. The renewed attention has propelled the song back onto international charts.

The single is currently enjoying a third consecutive week on the UK Singles Chart, while also climbing on the Billboard Global 200 and the Global 200 Excluding U.S. rankings.

The latest achievement adds to Sean Paul’s enduring global influence, coming shortly after the completion of his Timeless Arena Tour across Europe.

Beyond music, the Grammy Award-winning artist has also been active in philanthropy. During a recent appearance on Today, he donated musical instruments to Lewisville High School in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, supporting the institution’s music programme.

Through the Sean Paul Foundation, the artist has also provided relief assistance to communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa, delivering essential supplies across multiple parishes.

The donation to the school included a range of instruments, along with a Starlink internet system to enhance digital learning opportunities.

Sean Paul also used the platform to promote his current single Ready for the Ride, featuring Stalk Ashley, further highlighting his continued presence in the global music scene.
