The newest global athletics spectacle, Grand Slam Track, is set to get underway on Friday afternoon in Jamaica with a host of world and Olympic champions scheduled to battle for the biggest cash prize in the sport’s history.
The inaugural staging of the event will see 96 athletes, 48 racers and 48 challengers competing over three days.
Each athlete will receive points based on their place in each race. Their combined score after the two races will determine their final place in the standings.
