Godfrey Stewart High School won their first ever ISSA Under-15 Schoolgirls’ Volleyball championship, beating Camperdown high 18-10 in the final played at UWI Bowl, on Wednesday.
The 11-team, one-day tournament was intense throughout.
Godfrey Stewart proved too good for Immaculate in the semi-finals, winning 15-11. The improving Camperdown beat Wolmer’s 15-8 to get to the final.
Godfrey Stewart were very composed in the championship match. Their service game proved too good for Camperdown, and the western aggregation raced to a comfortable victory.

Third place went to Immaculate High who beat Wolmer’s 15-11.
The ISSA Under-15 National volleyball championship for boys will take place at GC Foster next Wednesday.
