Opposition leader Mark Golding is accusing the Holness administration of using the latest attempt at constitutional reform to push the country toward autocracy.
He was speaking to a large crowd of People’s National Party supporters in Claremont, South East St. Ann on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has suggested the push to transform Jamaica into a republic has effectively been dashed by the actions of Mark Golding.
But Golding has hit back, saying he will never support any move towards the suppression of the rights of the people.
