Opposition Leader Mark Golding says based on his checks, no People’s National Party member of parliament or senator is aware that they are under investigation by the Integrity Commission for illicit enrichment.
The issue of illicit enrichment is back in the spotlight following last Friday’s tabling of the Commission’s annual report in the senate.
According to the report, two additional parliamentarians are now under investigation by the Integrity Commission for illicit enrichment.
The report also says one member of the senate and five councillors have been referred to the commission for illicit enrichment and/or providing false information to the commission.
Golding addressed the issue on Saturday in his South St. Andrew constituency.
Golding says the Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness must address the issue.
