Golding Plans to Support Food Producers Through Agriculture Development Fund

Opposition leader, Mark Golding, says the People’s National Party, PNP, will provide financial support to local food producers through the establishment of an Agricultural Development Fund.

He says the fund will be instrumental in reducing post-harvest losses.

Golding adds that the PNP will strengthen Jamaica’s food security and expand the irrigation and research capabilities by implementing a programme dubbed SMART – Sustainable Management of Agriculture through Research and Technology.
