West Kingston has continuously been held by the JLP since 1955.
It’s been represented by former prime ministers Alexander Bustamante, Hugh Shearer, Edward Seaga and Bruce Golding.
Witter has lost all his bids against the JLP’s Desmond McKenzie since his first outing in 2002.
In the last general election, in 2020, he was defeated by 7,600 votes.
Then, McKenzie polled 8,480 votes to Witter’s 880 votes.
