Good Times, the beloved old-school party series, known for delivering the best hits from the ‘80s to the 2000s, is set to make a grand return on Saturday, March 15 at Fort Rocky, Port Royal.
Good Times has been a staple of Jamaica’s entertainment calendar since its inception in 1996. It has built a reputation for its electrifying atmosphere and top-tier musical selections. Now, after a hiatus, the event is back and ready to take place at Kingston’s newest entertainment venue, Fort Rocky.
This edition, which promises a night of nostalgia and non-stop dancing, is being staged by Iconic Events, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange reaffirmed the ministry’s support for the event.
“Good Times is more than just a party – it is a cultural institution that has preserved and celebrated Jamaica’s rich musical legacy. We are proud to support Iconic Events in bringing this event back in a way that enhances Kingston’s entertainment offerings. Fort Rocky is the perfect setting for a night of nostalgia and enjoyment, and we look forward to welcoming music lovers from all over.”
Robert Chantrelle, founding member of Iconic Events, noted that “Good Times has always been about celebrating great music, good vibes, and bringing people together”.
He pointed out that one of the pluses of the venue was “the flexibility to go all night, just like in the early days”.
Fort Rocky, a purpose-built entertainment venue, boasts spacious accommodations, close-proximity parking, and, most notably, no 2 a.m. cut-off, allowing patrons to party until sunrise.
With a legacy of legendary events and an unmatched playlist curated by Jamaica’s top DJs, Good Times is set to deliver an unforgettable experience. Music lovers can expect a seamless blend of classic dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and pop hits, creating a soundtrack that defines generations.
