Government Brings Immigration Services and Outreach to Diaspora in Houston

Belizeans living in the Houston area are being given another opportunity to connect directly with government officials and access essential services, as the Belize Immigration Department continues its outreach to the diaspora.  Tonight, Prime Minister John Briceño and Minister of Immigration Kareem Musa will headline a meet-and-greet session from seven to nine o’clock at the Hilton Garden Inn Energy Corridor. The event is expected to bring together members of the Belizean community for direct engagement with senior government leadership.  The meet-and-greet forms part of a broader weekend initiative, as immigration officials are also in Houston facilitating the collection of passports and nationality by descent certificates. The exercise follows a successful mobile passport hub held in February at the same venue, where Belizeans in the diaspora were able to submit applications for key documents.  The immigration clinic is being held at the Hilton Garden Inn along the Energy Corridor, with services running throughout the weekend and no appointment required for document collection.
