Government Highlights Rural Connectivity Efforts in Remote Graham Creek

Shal noted that the focus of the programme is on practical improvements that directly affect residents’ daily lives, particularly consistent water access and stronger community resilience. He said the San Estevan project represents the type of investment government intends to continue rolling out as part of a longer-term rural development strategy.  The CEO also highlighted the situation in Graham Creek, Toledo District, Belize’s only village without road access, where efforts are underway to improve connectivity and essential services despite geographic challenges.

The ministry says continued investment in water systems, transportation access and community infrastructure is intended to strengthen opportunities for rural Belizeans while supporting broader national development goals.
